About Us

We are a Premium Montessori Preschool in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. At Amaya Montessori, we focus on nurturing well-rounded individuals through a strong academic foundation and values like independence, collaboration, and peace. We offer comprehensive education for children aged 1.5 to 10 years, rooted in Montessori principles. Our approach fosters emotional, social, physical, and intellectual development. Located in Road No. 5, Near GVK mall, we serve families across Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, and surrounding areas.

Child-Centered Learning

At Amaya Montessori, children are seen as active participants in their learning process. The teacher’s role is more of a guide or facilitator rather than a traditional instructor.

Prepared Environment

At Amaya our environments are designed to be aesthetically, orderly, engaging, and scaled to the child's size. Materials and activities are arranged to promote independence and self-directed learning.

Montessori Materials

At Amaya specially designed educational materials are used to teach concepts through hands-on experiences. These materials often have a built-in mechanism for self-correction.

Mixed Age Classrooms

Older students mentor younger ones, reinforcing their own knowledge while fostering social and academic development. Peer relationships and collaborative work promote self-directed learning and growth in a supportive community.

Emphasis on Practical Life Skills

The curriculum includes activities that develop practical life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and organizing, which help build independence and self-care.

Integrated Curriculum

Subjects are not taught in isolation but are integrated, allowing for connections across different areas of knowledge. This encourages a holistic understanding of concepts.

Programs

Toddler - 1.5 to 2.5 years

In the Toddler environment (ages 1.5 to 2.5), children develop communication, independence, and problem-solving skills through Montessori activities and real tasks. They practice these skills repeatedly, building confidence and self-esteem. Free movement and mixed-age groups promote social interaction and peer learning. Language development is prioritized with rich vocabulary exposure through songs, stories, and daily interactions.

Primary - 2.5 to 6 Years

The Primary environment focuses on hands-on learning with practical life tasks and sensorial activities. Children develop language skills through spoken activities and materials for tracing, writing, and reading. In mathematics, they build a concrete understanding of numbers and operations. Geography, world cultures, and nature are explored through maps and artifacts. Sports support physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development, emphasizing coordination, teamwork, and respect.

Elementary (Lower) - 6 to 10 Years

The Elementary environment focuses on interdisciplinary learning through Cosmic Education and the Great Lessons. Children develop advanced language skills through grammar analysis, creative writing, research, and literature study. In mathematics, they transition from concrete materials to abstract reasoning, exploring operations, fractions, geometry, and problem-solving. History, geography, and sciences are explored through timelines, experiments, and classification work. Going Out experiences and collaborative projects support intellectual, social, emotional, and cognitive development, emphasizing critical thinking, independent research, and community responsibility.

After School Care - 4 to 8 Years

After school care provides a safe and nurturing environment for children once their school day ends. Typically designed for children in primary through lower elementary school, these programs often include various activities that promote social interaction, creativity, and exploration. After-school care can be an excellent way for children to unwind, explore new interests, and engage with peers in a supportive environment.
