Amaya Montessori

Amaya Montessori focuses on nurturing well rounded individuals who can contribute positively to society. We achieve this by providing a strong academic foundation alongside a focus on independence, self-direction, choice, collaboration, cooperation, and peace.

Our school offers a comprehensive education for children aged 1.5 to 6 years in an environment designed to support the core principles of Montessori, one of the most effective educational approaches worldwide. Here, students cultivate the emotional, social, physical, and intellectual skills essential for fulfilling their potential. Dr. Maria Montessori described this significant journey as “preparation for life.”

Our Vision

Our vision is to create an environment that nurtures the natural development of the whole child by promoting independence, self-awareness, and social adaptability, while fostering a lifelong love of learning and ensuring that the educational experience is joyful and engaging.

Our Mission

Our mission is to deliver an exceptional education in a nurturing and stimulating environment that nurtures each child's sensory, intellectual, and emotional gifts, guiding them towards becoming responsible and compassionate adults.

Independence

The Montessori method encourages children to take charge of their own learning and to develop independence. This involves allowing them to make choices, solve problems, and engage in activities at their own pace, which fosters confidence and self-reliance.

Freedom

Montessori classrooms provide children with freedom to choose their activities, but this freedom is structured within clear boundaries and guidelines. This balance helps children learn self-discipline and responsibility.

Respect for the Child

Dr Montessori education places a high value on respecting each child as an individual with unique needs, interests, and pace of learning. This respect is shown through recognizing their choices, promoting self-direction, and valuing their thoughts and feelings.

Exploration

The Montessori approach nurtures a child’s natural curiosity by providing hands-on materials that engage their senses and promote active discovery. This encourages children to explore and make sense of the world around them.

Intrinsic Motivation

Montessori education emphasizes internal motivation over external rewards, encouraging children to take pride in their efforts and progress rather than relying on praise or tangible rewards.

Peace and Harmony

Montessori education fosters a peaceful and respectful environment where children learn to resolve conflicts, show empathy, and practice kindness. This value helps children develop emotional intelligence. By cultivating these qualities, Montessori education empowers children to interact harmoniously with peers, adults, and the world around them, laying the foundation for a peaceful future.
